Vintage Small Mexican Huichol Beaded Gourd

Description

This vintage small beaded Huichol gourd was purchased in Mexico in the late 1980s. It was never displayed or hung as an ornament, but kept in a glass enclosed bookcase. The gourd is rounded on the bottom but it does not sit level. On one of the pictures, the gourd is sitting on a red rounded cap which I used so it would stand upright. Without the cap or some other way to hold it up, it will not stand up by itself. Still a very attractive piece. Colors are beautiful. Gourd stands 4 inches high and 2 inches at the base.
