    Description

    This Mexican Huichol beaded half moon face is made of carved wood covered with beeswax and inlaid beads. The detail is incredible and the piece is in excellent condition. On picture 6 it appears that a few beads may be missing but the piece was just like that when I purchased it over 20 years ago in Mexico. Since each piece is individually made there is a variance between pieces.The Huichols are a tribe living high in the remote Sierra Madre Mountains of North Central Mexico who live much the same way they have lived for centuries. Piece could be hung on a wall or displayed sitting on a shelf or table. The piece is about 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches high.
