Vintage 1939 NY Worlds Fair Souvenir HTF Mottled Bakelite Trylon & Perisphere Ex

** H T F End Of Day Bakelite 1939 New York Worlds Fair Souvenir ( Ex ) **
For sale is an intriguing little souvenir from the 1939 New York Worlds Fair featuring the Trylon and Perisphere, the Trylon constructed from dark yellow Bakelite or Catalin, the Perisphere appearing to be white painted wood, and the base from the hard to find “end of day” Bakelite or Catalin. Souvenir measures 3-1/16 inches in height, the base measuring 1-7/8 inches in length by 15/16 of an inch in width, being in excellent condition without any damage, showing some minor signs of aging (Note; the white paint on the Perisphere shows some very minor crazing, and the gold lettering shows some minor flaking “see photos”). Marked on the front side of the base “New York World’s Fair, N.Y.W.F.
