Top-Notch Framed Huichol String Painting

Description

This is a professionally framed string painting by the Huichol artist Luís Castro.  The painting itself measures 8 inches x 8 inches and made of wood board coated with beeswax, and colored string affixed to make a design evoking indigenous themes (in this case, a sacred deer). The painting is signed on the back, with an explanation (in Spanish) of the meaning of the painting.
With the wood frame, the work measures 16.5 inches x 16.5 inches.
