Tim Delaney graduated in 1972 with honors from Pasadena's noted Art Center College of Design. He joined Walt Disney Imagineering in 1976 and worked there for the next 34 years on projects such as EPCOT (The Living Seas Pavilion), Disneyland Paris (aka Euro Disney), Disney's California Adventure and Hong Kong Disneyland. His work in re-imagining Disneyland's Tomorrowland (including an acclaimed redesign of the Autopia) demonstrated once again what Delaney could do even with a lean budget... just as he did with the original entrance for DCA... and still, somehow all those cost savings ultimately led to his dismissal in 2009. Certainly, a tremendous loss for fans of Disney parks and resorts. Still, we have many examples of his creative design work for WDI and as time goes on the public is coming to appreciate just how significant his influence was within the scope of modern Disney parks.
