IDEAL  ROBERT THE ROBOT  PLASTIC SKIRTED ROBOT  C. 1950'S  TOOLBOX VERSION  4049
Good condition robot overall.  Some signs of play wear, scratches and nicks etc. He needs a detailed cleaning. I wiped him down for the pictures. No internal light mechanism in his head. Crank controller does not work but his wheels turn and arms move as they should.  One eye has what look like glue residue internally. So possibly from manufacture. They crank does not work and has some tape holding it together.  I removed some of it but there is still some as found. This is the chest toolbox version. No tools. No chest toolbox cover.  The talking record cranks and plays through, but it is a bit garbled here and there,
The box is quite rough. It is the correct box and somewhat displayable. But browning and somewhat brittle with quite a few of pieces torn off. It was exposed to moisture, so it is dry and warped, creased and torn.  Rough box, but a decent toy overall.
