    ,
Huichol yarn art cat figurine sculpture.  Handmade by Mexican Huichol Indian artist
Jose Montoya in Mexico.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this kitty cat sculpture and adding strands of yarn, this bright and colorful cat depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.
    Measurements:
    Height: 2 3/4"
Right ear to tail:  6 1/4"
    Back to left ear: 5"
Handmade clay cat, curled up, taking a cat nap.

Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol.
This cat has closed black eyes, a cute graduated tan colored nose and a red mouth outlined in black and white.
His perky ears have graduated green corn stalks with black and white tips.
Crossing his forehead and down the side of his right cheek is a gourd blossom and a large gourd is on the back of his head.
Other important symbols include the scorpion, turtle and the Shaman's star for blessing of an unborn baby.
This cute kitty is napping on a rainbow colored bed with black and white in the middle.
He's (or she's) so special!  Beautiful gift for a cat lover.
