Beautiful, sparkly, 3D hand carved wooden owl figurine.  Handmade by the Mexican Huichol Indian artist Antonio Bautista Carrillo in Mexico.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this wooden owl sculpture and adding glass beads, one by one, this bright and realistic colored owl depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.
The clear metallic golden bead colors are applied to look like the Great Horned Owls's feathers.  Gray pearl beads and metallic gold beads accent his (or her) mystic eyes with large pupils, his long ear-like tufts, his strong talons and beak.  His wings are embellished with green metallic clear beads and large blue Peyote flowers.
This gorgeous owl is sitting on an integrated base that looks like a tree branch covered with tan beads and the Peyote flowers are accented with metallic silver beads.  The bottom of the sculpture is beaded with circles to also mimic a tree.  Antonio carved a hole into the back of this owl figurine for hanging or it can be used as a display piece of art.
