The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops.
The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch around his neck to cultivate his new land.
The necklace has the Peyote cactus flower symbol is honored by the Shaman leaders for giving influence to the Gods for future crops, rain and healing of the Huichol people.

Bright yellow, navy blue, red, orange, yellow and clear metallic silver color glass Chaquira beads.
2.4"W glass beaded medallion with graduated length dangles.
Each medallion is woven onto a black simulated leather and b
oth medallions are woven together with yellow glass beads to form a pouch.
Medallion has a red, orange, yellow and white color Peyote flower on a navy blue background.
In the middle of the flower, clear silver beads outline a clear gold bead.
Clear silver and white beads form a circle around the Peyote flower for the symbol of Hope.
The medallion is held by a beautiful Huichol multi-color beaded strand with clear metallic silver insets that match the medallion.
11 dangles form the Prayer Arrow symbol with red metallic twist tube beads and red Peyote flowers at the tips.
The clear metallic silver beads add just the right amount of sparkle.

Handmade by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language.  Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces and earrings.  Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work.  One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace.  This necklace is 100% authentic Huichol hand crafted jewelry and not the imitation beaded necklace.
