The intricate patterns originate from the Huichol peoples traditional art and culture in the Sierra Madre Mountains Huichol are an indigenous, Indian, ethnic group of western central Mexico, living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango.
This Huichol Catrina is cast from resin and hand beaded on a layer of wax, so should be kept away from heat and the sun.
