Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  Each bead is woven by hand and the designs are all unique.  This mystical dream catcher is 100% authentic Huichol art.
The Huichol believe dream catchers catch any harm that might be in the air and hold it.  Huichol ceremonies begin with a prayer arrow shot into the air.  Typically, dream catchers are hung near a bed to capture bad dreams but they are also symbols of hope and healing.
2.25"W metal circle wrapped with adobe color silky threads.
Huichol threads are criss crossed in the center and hold glass beads in a rainbow of colors.
Edges are hand beaded with sun rays for the all important Huichol Father Sun who is master of the heavens and brings light to the world.
11 rainbow color beaded strands hang from the hoop, in graduated lengths, end in clear metallic red twist tube beads and multi-color Peyote flowers bless the tips.
The design within the dangles represents Urus or prayer arrow.
Top loop is 2.75" long from top of hoop to top of loop.
We love the rainbow beaded ball that is woven into the top loop.
