    Huichol Mexican Indian folk art is truly unique and all handmade by the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.

    Huichol beaded art dog figurine sculpture.  Handmade by Mexican Huichol Indian artist
    Librado Carrillo Carrillo, Paritemay, in Mexico.  Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche beeswax onto this Chihuahua sculpture and adding beads, one-by-one, this bright and colorful Chihuahua depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods.

    Using rich red and black colored beads, Librado created a beautiful Chihuahua puppy.
    Symbols are very important for communication by the Huichol.
    This dog has gorgeous metallic silver glass beaded accents around his (or her) eyes and his feet.
    His large perky ears have graduated colors of black to red.
    On his face and forehead are pretty Peyote flowers that lead to a brilliant Father Sun on the back of his head.
    Other important symbols include the double headed eagle on his back and the Messenger Deer protecting his chest.
    Two bright red scorpions have the Eye of God in the middle.  One scorpion has a snake tail and the other has a prayer arrow tail.
    We love how Librado turned some of the beads sideways for extra sparkle.
    He's (or she's) so special!  Beautiful gift for a dog lover.
    A COA, certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist, is included and this gorgeous art piece is personally signed by the artist.
