    Description

Very fine cross-stitched Huichol bag.  Crafted in a vibrant floral design of hot pink flowers with green stylized leaves and purple borders on a pale blue background. The design is the same on both sides of the bag.  It has 2" pompoms on the bottom corners (a total of 4 pompoms) and the strap is woven in colors used in the design on the bag( hot pink, red, purple, green).
I believe the embroidery material to be wool although it may also be cotton.
Many long hours of work by highly skilled artists are necessary to create this weaving, needlepoint, and cross-stitch.  The designs are traditional representations of Huichol Spirit Helpers, Peyote Visions, and Ceremonies.
    New, unused
    Dimensions:  11" high x 10 1/2" wide  - Strap: 1 1/2" wide x 19" long
I'm listing several hand-made items from Mexico so please check my other listings. I've been lucky enough to have gone on buying trips in MX with a friend who has an import store. I got carried away and now have too many beauties to keep them all.
