The road leading from Tripolis to Sparta, capital of Lakonia, affords the traveller superb views of the mountain ranges of Mts Taigetos and Parnon which flank it on either side.  Adding to the visual beauty is the green valley of the river Evrotas which unfolds between the mass mountain slopes.  In this atmosphere of mystery and remoteness dwell a grandeur of guests from history and legend - Lycurgus, Leonidas, Helen of Troy, Menelaos...  Though isolated from its neighboring provinces by harsh and precipitous mountains, this region of the Peloponnse has figured prominently in the whole history of ancient and medieval Greece.
Published by the Greek National Tourist Organisation in December 1982.  This brochure is in good condition.  There is no writing anywhere in the brochure and it is not ripped or torn.  The brochure measures 8 9/16 inches by 31 3/8 inches.  This item will be shipped free via first class mail.
