This phone is a real core part of phone history for collectors. The American Electric Telephone Company of Chicago was founded in 1894 by P.C. Burns of Kokomo, Indiana who later moved to the company to Chicago in 1897. This company grew quickly and acquired the Keystone Telephone MFG Co, and merged with the Victor Telephone MFG Co along the way among other growth & expansion efforts, before being later acquired by the Automatic Electric Company themselves. Despite this company's integral position as one of the earliest, most innovative and influential telephone and telephone accessories manufacturers in the US, relatively little detailed info seems to be written about them.
Please review all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom if needed. We have tried to describe phone as best we can, but we are not perfect.
You can see most of the mechanical parts of the phone from our pictures as we opened up case and parts as best we could and feel free to ask questions.
Check out all the photos as part of the description.
Great phone for the serious collector.
Looks almost new came from a state that had lots of well kept antiques.
The oak cabinet looks mostly original from what we can see.
American Electric Telephone Company used some Kellogg parts as many companies did at the time or if that was a later change. The mouth piece is clearly marked American Electric Company.
Condition is Used, and in very good condition.
The batteries were taken out years ago.
