    Description

    On offer is an antique piece of telephone equipment.  It's purpose is unknown to me but I am inclined to think it  was used perhaps to adjust the volume of a crank telephone since there is a single adjusting knob on the outside of the box.  The are names on various components such as "Carter Radio Company" and "American Telephone and Telegraph".  It is untested but certainly an interesting items which an expert on antique telephone would addict to their collection.
