ANTIQUE GREY PAY STATION TELEPHONE LAMP CONVERSION EXCELLENT WESTERN ELECTRIC NR

Description

This is a vintage Gray Pay Station with a Western Electric candlestick phone. The phone  was converted to a lamp many years ago. ( if you don't want the lamp portion it could be reversed back to just phone) I believe it was converted many years ago because of the old socket and plug. I also believe that is the reason the phone is in such good condition. The lamp turns on by taking the receiver off of the cradle then turns off when replaced. The coin slots work as should when coins are inserted with the proper gong and ding noises. There is money in the phone from testing as there is no key . The markings are as follows. The base of the phone is marked Western Electric Made in USA Pat in USA Jan 26 15. under the mouthpiece it says Western Electric Made in USA Jan and i can't make out the date. On the front of the Pay station below the key slot is marked L46709. On the back of the pay box it is marked Gray Tel Pay Sta. Co. Hartford Conn. Again the unit is in Excellent condition, and can be kept as lamp or returned to just Pay station.  Please view the photos and ask any questions before bidding. Winning bidder to pay shipping.
