Description
Offered is a unique piece of architectural and technological history, a bronze nameplate which was might have been at the top of a building directory panel or sign at the entrance or inside the lobby. I have no idea what building it came from, but it may well have been one in the Philadelphia area.It measures 15-1/2 inches wide, 1-1/4 inches high, and 1-1/4 inches deep. I believe the front surface was painted a gold color. It weighs 1 lb. 12 oz. There are three tapped mounting holes at each end.
If you have a telephone or telegraph collection, this would be perfect to mount on the front edge of a display shelf, either from above or below, and the best part is that it adds an eye-catching accent without taking up any precious shelf space!
Thank you for looking!
