Antique 1911 Model 317 Series Western Electric Company Wood Wall Telephone.
This 1911-1916 model wall phone was made in 1913 (based on a patented latch inside) by Western Electric, model 317.
The box is oak in great condition, however the back piece is cracked.
Inside are the original wiring instructions. It still has the inductor coil, condenser and ringer apparatus, but is missing the generator with the crank handle.
Also, there are no batteries, which were not provided by the company!
It has 4 riveted mounting holes.
Measures: 9-1/4” wide x 20-1/2” tall x 14” deep (depending on how the mouthpiece is adjusted)
