    Pat'd date Dec 19, 1905 this is a Western Electric # 29 MTG Porcelain Candlestick Telephone Lightning Arrester.
    (we only know that from an ebay search)   The piece looks very good and is untested.  Selling for parts or not working as we have no way to test it. The brass is in very good condition.  The porcelain is nice and white with some light dirt from age.  Under the brass cap are contact points of some sorts.  The wood looking connecting bars have a marking of "7 AMP".
